Overview
Qatar was able to be part of the DQ initiative thanks to Nasser Al Aamri, the founder of Glory Makers – an Omani training and consultancy organisation. As part of their company’s corporate social responsibility and concerned about increasing technology addiction in children, Nasser worked with DQ Institute to bring #DQEveryChild movement to Qatar, in addition to his own country – Oman.
Reaching out to the schools within their network, Nasser managed to get one school onboard the DQ Global Impact Study and to take part in DQ Screen Time Test. This test offers the school a glimpse into the digital use habits and cyber-risk exposure levels of their students, and thus enables the school to utilise DQ World programme in 2018 to tackle these areas of weakness and complement their own pedagogies.
